Help Wanted: Industrial Mechanic

​Industrial Mechanic

​Job Functions:

1. Diagnose equipment problem.
2. Clean, lubricate and adjust parts of equipment and machinery.
3. Disassemble equipment to remove parts that needs repair.
4. Examine parts and equipment for defects such as breakage and excessive wear and tear.
5. Observe and test operation of machine and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeter and other electronic testing devices.
6. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
7. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspection, testing or repairs.
8. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
9. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning component/s of machinery and equipment.
10. Study blue prints, schematic diagram and manufacturer’s manual to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
11. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts and assemble new equipment.
12. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators
13. Enter code and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
14. Records parts and materials used and order or requisition new parts and materials when the safety stocks (if assigned) is on the minimum level.
15. Record repair and maintenance performed.
16. Monitor and perform preventive maintenance per schedule and based on manufacturer’s recommendations.
